Helping Academia, Business and Care Sectors Improve Later Life

Welcome to The Ageing Translator Blog

Whether this is your first time here, or you have visited The Ageing Translator blog pages before, thank you so much for stopping by.

My name is Domini, and I am delighted to meet you.

I translate from Spanish and Greek into English, proofread in UK English and host online English conversation sessions for academic gerontologists.

After many years working with, and alongside, older adults, I specialise in translating and proofreading ageing-related texts, though I do work on other texts as well.

I am also ageing. Growing older. We all are. It started the day we were born.

Ageing is personal. Gerontologists know it, caregivers know it and business knows it.

Our values and perspectives on ageing are formed by our relationships with the older people we know—or have known—and our older role models. Many of us choose to research or work in ageing as a result of those relationships. That is definitely my experience.

Ageing is interdisciplinary. So, I work on texts related to gerontology, the silver economy and the care sector.

Ageing is a journey. A journey into older age, a journey alongside those who are older than us, and an internal journey.

This blog forms part of my ageing journey. Will you travel alongside me and reflect on yours?
